Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

Our Goal is to Glorify God
Build up the Body of Christ
Expand the Kingdom

The Youth Ministry seeks to become the training ground for a Holistic approach to spiritual growth of every young person of every ethnicity within reach of GPCCC so that they are equipped with the resources necessary to enter adulthood, living as disciples of Jesus Christ by realizing their full potential and make positive contributions to the Kingdom of God as examples of Christ’s love.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:14-15

Mission Statement

The purpose of Youth group is to transform youth into Born Again Believers, to connect all youth to the Body of Christ and the Word of God, to help them grow and find their identity in Christ, and to share in God’s word and offer themselves in service to the Kingdom in obedience and to honor God.

Beliefs & Values

We believe Youth Ministry to be the ministry of the church to raise the next generation of Christian warriors. A generation that has a hunger and desire to live for Christ and Christ alone. As the church where, “The Word is the Word,” we believe in operating in accordance with the Holy Scripture.

This means that the ministry will strive for excellence in events and programs, making relationships the primary focus (relationship with God, His Word, and fellowship of believers). We believe that being a people-focused ministry will foster the personal development of the individual gifts of the youth, thus making it possible to drive young people towards spiritual maturity. This, in turn, will duly enrich the Kingdom of God with youthful, faithful servants who have the ability to minister to others and assist in the vision of bringing those who don’t know the Lord into a personal relationship with Him.

Youth Growth

Children have been or should have been spiritually fed their entire lives. So by the time the children join the youth group by 7th grade they should have general knowledge about the Bible and who Christ is. In Junior High our hopes is the youth learn to feed themselves and take true ownership of their faith. By the time they are in High School our hope is that youth learn to not only feed themselves, but feed others as well. And by the time the youth leaves the youth group we hope to have an army of Believers who take ownership of their faith, help others in their faith, and live out their faith through loving action.
