  1. The Elder Deacon Board has approved Pastor Steve Houston to be voted on as the English Associate Pastor for a 2-year term. Congregational vote ends today. Please pray for God’s leading in this process.
  2. Missions Pledge Card: Our goal is that every member would make a pledge and reach our 2025 mission budget of $355,000. So far, we have 58 pledges totaling $108,000. The deadline to pledge is November 30.
  3. AWANA Grand Prix is Friday, November 15, 7-9 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. We welcome parents to come and cheer for your children.
  4. Patchwork Sisters will host a Soup and No-Sew Fleece Blanket Fellowship on Saturday, November 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to join us. Please contact Pam or Amy for details.

  7. Thursday Bible Study, 6-8 p.m. at Marcus & Corina’s, is studying the Gospel of John. For info, contact marcus.bejot@gmail.com. It’s open to everyone.
  8. Reader’s Circle’s next book is Timothy Keller’s The Reason for God – Belief in an Age of Skepticism. We will meet Saturday, November 30, 10:30 am at Phu & Henna’s. Contact Phu Vuong (phu@vuonglab.com) for info.
  9. Offering. At GPC, we don’t pass an offering plate. In 2 Cor. 9:7-15, we are taught to give as we are able and with joy. If you would like to give an offering as part of your act of worship, we have offering boxes in the lobby, you can use a credit card or use Zelle with giving@gpccc.org.
  10. Sabbatical. P. Larry’s sabbatical is Nov. 4-Dec. 3. In Exod. 20:8-11, we understand the importance of the 7th day being a day of rest, the Sabbath. In Lev. 25:1-7, we learn of a sabbatical year for the land so that it may rest from harvesting. At GPC, the pastors get one month every seven years as a sabbatical. P. Larry will spend time with extended family, celebrate 25 years of marriage, and plans to read around 2,000 pages.
  11. Nepal Mission 2025 (Feb. 21-Mar. 8) open house today, 1:00 pm at CO-203. If you are interested, please come to the briefing session.
  12. Please save Saturday, December 14th for the GPCCC 2024 English Christmas Celebration. Sign-up starts on November 17th.
  13. Church 2025 Budget Meeting next Sunday, November 17, 1:30 p.m. at C102.
  14. Praise God for your generosity and love for our local community. All donated items have been delivered to Choices Pregnancy Center -Mesa and Casa de Vida – Chandler.
