  1. We welcome Mary Wong as our new Children’s Ministry Director.
  2. Thanks to all who made this year’s Harvest Festival such a success.
  3. The Elder Deacon Board has approved Pastor Steve Houston to be voted on as the English Associate Pastor for a 2-year term. Congregational vote starts today and end Nov. 10. Please pray for God’s leading in this process.
  4. Missions Pledge Card: Our goal is that every member would make a pledge and reach our 2025 mission budget of $355,000. So far, we have 54 pledges totaling $89,000. The deadline to pledge is November 30.
  5. Children’s Ministry is recruiting parents and children (grades K and above) for a “Hope-Filled Holiday at ASU” Nov. 9, 3-5pm. All adults are welcome! This is a food packing event organized by Feed My Starving Children. To register, please fill out this form.
  6. Prayer Meeting is Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30 p.m. (Zoom: 233 085 786; PW 007276). Contact P. Larry (larrylee@gpccc.org) for info.

  8. Thursday Bible Study, 6-8 p.m. at Marcus & Corina’s, is studying the Gospel of John. For info, contact marcus.bejot@gmail.com. It’s open to everyone.
  9. Emmanuel Thanksgiving Potluck and testimonies is Friday, Nov. 8, 7-9 pm in church office room 205. Turkey will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share. Contact Tom Gates (tigates1@gmail.com) for info.
  10. Reader’s Circle’s next book is Timothy Keller’s The Reason for God – Belief in an Age of Skepticism. We will meet Sat., Nov. 30, 10:30 am at Phu & Henna’s. Contact Phu Vuong (phu@vuonglab.com) for info.
  11. Offering. At GPC, we don’t pass an offering plate. In 2 Cor. 9:7-15, we are taught to give as we are able and with joy. If you would like to give an offering as part of your act of worship, we have offering boxes in the lobby, you can use a credit card or use Zelle with giving@gpccc.org.
  12. Sabbatical. P. Larry’s sabbatical is Nov. 4-Dec. 3. In Exod. 20:8-11, we understand the importance of the 7th day being a day of rest, the Sabbath. In Lev. 25:1-7, we learn of a sabbatical year for the land so that it may rest from harvesting. At GPC, the pastors get one month every seven years as a sabbatical. P. Larry will spend time with extended family, celebrate 25 years of marriage, and plans to read around 2,000 pages.
  13. Nepal Mission 2025 (Feb. 21-Mar. 8) will have an open house Sunday, Nov. 10, 1:00 pm at CO-203. If you are interested, please come to the briefing session.
